Connecting The Dots – Babylon (Part 1)

Not my will but thy will be done!
Luke 22:42-44

Origins of Babel
Understanding God’s Free Will

It started in Heaven  Ezek 28:14-15

You were the anointed cherub who covers;
I established you;
You were on the holy mountain of God;
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created,
Till iniquity was found in you.

The 5 “I Will’s”  Isa 14:13-14

For you have said in your heart:
I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’

Introducing Nimrod  Gen 10:8-10

Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth.
He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.”
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Not God’s Will, but Man’s will be done! Gen 11:3-4

Then they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

Not my will but thy will be done! Lk 22:42-44

Saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me;
nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
