Take a good look at the above picture! I was shaken to the core when I first came upon it; the picture continues to instil a fear and horror as to its meaning and implication. They say a picture is worth a thousand words; in this case we have a portrait that conveys the realities of eternity. Can we see why the teaching of right doctrine is so important?

A Case of Right Doctrine – Part 1

What is Doctrine? How can we distinguish good doctrine from bad? Ok, let’s keep it simple; good doctrine is doing that which God requires. False doctrine can be defined as the exact opposite; disobedience to God. That’s really all there is to it! Well, we know it’s not really all that simple. The above is the foundation, the root of how doctrine is defined. The question to ask is how to get to the point where we are in a position to know, teach and live by right doctrine?
