Leviathan Unleashed

The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways, According to the fruit of his doings (Jeremiah 17:9-10).

It’s been two years since I wrote the article “The Unveiling of Leviathan”. What have these past two years looked like? The following words of Jesus may help to place this question into a bit of perspective.

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:6-8)

I personally feel this is where we are in the Lord’s Divine Timeline. In the midst of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic and recent USA presidential politics there is much to contemplate. The past two years has seen an acceleration of iniquity and lawlessness. What is alarming is the level of deception and acceptance as to what is taking place. Even more alarming is the lack of discernment and toleration found in many of today’s churches. Why is this the case? This is the primary focus of this article.

Joshua 3:3-4
And they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.  Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.”

Acts 1:11-12
Who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey.

And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

Mark 5:9
And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

Mark 5:13
And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.

Hosea 6:1-2
Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter 3:8)
